Dattelpaste ist ein köstlicher und gesunder Zuckerersatz. Dieser natürliche Süßstoff ist aus Datteln hergestellt, vegan und paleo-freundlich. In diesem Beitrag erfährst du genau, wie du ganz einfach Dattelpaste zu Hause machen kannst.
Was ist Dattelpaste?
Dattelpaste besteht aus entkernten und eingeweichten Datteln, die mit Wasser püriert werden, um eine glatte Paste zu erhalten. In der Verwendung kann man die Paste mit Honig vergleichen, obwohl sie nicht ganz so süß ist. Trotzdem ist es ein großartiger natürlicher Süßstoff und ein toller Ersatz für Zucker. Die Datteln sind außerdem reich an Ballaststoffen und Antioxidantien, damit liefert das Püree nicht nur natürliche Süße, sondern kommt mit vielen anderen wertvollen Inhaltsstoffen.
Wie breitet man Dattelpaste zu?
Die Zubereitung von Dattelpaste ist sehr einfach. Zuerst weichst du die entsteinten Datteln für 10-20 Minuten in heißem Wasser ein. Danach werden die Datteln mit dem Einweich-Wasser für 2-3 Minuten lang püriert und fertig ist der natürliche Süßstoff! Nun kannst du die Paste in ein Glas füllen und bis zu 3-4 Wochen im Kühlschrank aufbewahren.
Wofür verwende ich die Paste?
Wie bereits erwähnt, würde ich die Paste am Ehesten mit Honig vergleichen und das auch in der Verwendung. Allerdings ist Dattelpaset nicht ganz so süß wie Honig, deshalb brauchst du mehr davon, um die gleiche Menge an Süße zu erzielen.
Dattelpaste kann auf viele Arten verwendet werden. Du kannst sie zum Beispiel als Brotaufstrich essen, für die Herstellung von Energy Balls nehmen, in Smoothie-Bowls oder mit Chia-Pudding verwenden. Erst vor Kurzem habe ich damit Weihnachtspralinen gemacht – die sind super lecker geworden!
Gieße die entsteinten Datteln mit heißem Wasser auf, bis alle Datteln bedeckt sind. Weiche die Datteln für 20 Minuten in dem heißen Wasser ein.
Gib nun die eingeweichten Datteln und 150ml des Einweich-Wasser in einen Hochleistungsmixer und püriere die Paste für ca. 2-3 Minuten. Die Dattelpaste ist fertig, wenn du keine Dattelhaut mehr erkennen kannst und die Farbe ganz karamellfarbig wird.
Fülle die Dattelpaste in ein Glas und bewahre sie ihm Kühlschrank, wo du sie bis zu 1 Monat lang lagern kannst.
