It’s the first regular working week for me this year. The first days are always difficult to get back on track… How much I miss my long breakfast sessions and all the free time for cooking and baking already. And that after 2 days of work 🙂 But to sweeten the start of normal madness a little, I treated myself with this delicious and healthy smoothie bowl this morning.
For me, this beautiful bowl reflects much more than a healthy breakfast. You could say that it also illustrates my intentions for the new year: more time for self-care, more mindfulness, more growth, and more happiness.
In the past few months, I have lost sight of my goals, rituals, and routines too often. Why? Over time, no motivation, self-pity, stress and besides, the winter blues definitely got me. But the start of the new year has drawn a small line and forced me to pause for a moment and ask myself what is important to me – now and generally. For this little reminder, I love the turn of the year!
Reflecting on these kinds of things shows me, that only I’m responsible for my happiness and well-being. Unfortunately, happiness does not knock on our door, and politely asks us to enter. We have to chase it, catch it, and take good care of it with work, self-discipline, and confidence.
It’s the little things like a good breakfast, a yoga session, and consuming motivational content that make our day so much more valuable.
This post is meant to be a little reminder to prioritize your own well-being and to protect it from negative malefactors. I hope this healthy smoothie bowl is a small start. 💫
