My kale recipe creation continues! Aside from savory dishes such as my Vegan Pumpkin Kale Curry or my Kale Stir-Fry with Chickpeas and Buckwheat Recipe, I also wanted to use this nutrition superstar for a sweet breakfast recipe. If you follow me for a while, you know that I’m addicted to smoothie bowls for breakfast. So it’s no surprise I came up with a green, fresh kale smoothie bowl.

Kale has many nutritional benefits. With a lot of vitamins (A, K, C, B6), Calcium, Copper and much more, kale is among the most nutrient-dense foods in existence. Prepared in the right way, kale is also delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas⁠
  • 2 hands full of fresh kale⁠
  • 1/2 pineapple⁠
  • dash of dairy-free milk (like soy milk)⁠
  • 1 tsp spirulina powder⁠
  • 1 cm fresh ginger⁠

Topping:⁠

  • granola⁠
  • 1 banana⁠
  • fresh pomegranate ⁠
  • peanut butter⁠
  • 1 kiwi⁠

Instructions

  1. Blend all the ingredients in your blender and put your toppings on top.
